RABI-UL AWWAL
SPECIAL PRAYERS FOR THE MONTH
DURING THE MONTH: Reciting the following 125, 000 times during this month, one attains great sawab and Insha-Allah, will have the pleasure of seeing Prophet Mohammad (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) in his dreams:
"ASSALATO WAS-SALAMO ALAIKA YA RASULULLAH."
EVERY NIGHT during this month, commencing with the sighting of the moon, after Isha prayers,
recite the following mentioned Durood Sharif 125 times. You will, Insha-Allah, have the privilege of seeing Hazrat
Mohammad (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) in your dreams.
"ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA SAYIDINA MOHAMMADIN KAMA SAL-LAITA ALA SAYIDINA
IBRAHIMA WA ALA ALAIH SAYIDINA IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUN MAJID."
1ST TO 12TH RABI-UL AWWAL:
Recite the Qur'an Sharif at least once between the sighting of the moon on the 1st and the
12th Rabi-ul Awwal, and offer its sawab to our beloved Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam).
ON 1ST RABI-UL AWWAL:
Pray 4 rakats nafil namaz. In each rakat after Surah Fateha, pray 7 times Surah
Ikhlas (Kulhuwallah...). After completing the prayers, offer its sawab to Hazrat
Mohammad (sallallaho alaihi wasallam).
ON 3RD RABI-UL AWWAL:
Pray any or all of the following:
* Pray 4 rakats nafil namaz. In each rakat after Surah Fateha, recite Ayatul-Kursi once. Surah Taha once, Surah Yasin once and Surah Ikhlas once and similarly complete the 4 rakats.
* Pray 2 or 4 rakats (in 2 salams) nafil. In each rakat after Surah Fateha, recite Surah Ikhlas 25 times. After
namaz offer its sawab to our beloved Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam). Then go into sijdah and pray for
the fulfilment of your needs. Insha-Allah the needs will be granted.
* A person praying Surah Ikhlas 607 times or 360 times on this day gets a lot of sawab for doing so.
12th RABI-UL AWWAL
BIRTHDAY OF HAZRAT MOHAMMAD MUSTAPHA (sallallaho alaihi wasallam)
We should rejoice and feel happy on this day when Allah ta'ala sent his greatest gift to us all, His most gracious creation and the most beloved messenger, Hazrat Muhammad Mustapha (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) , for our guidance. We should thank Allah ta'ala for being Muslims as well as being in the Umma of his beloved Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam), the Umma into which many Prophets expressed their wish to be born into.
We should celebrate this day as other Eid days in order to express our love for our beloved Prophet. We should make effort to carry out the various deeds and prayers as shown below.
SPECIAL DEEDS FOR THE DAY
* Be thankful to Allah ta' ala for his kindness and generosity for sending the beloved messenger Hazrat
Muhammad (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) on this day for our guidance.
* Pray Durood Sharif and Salaam for Hazrat Muhammad (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) as much as possible during the day.
* As on Eid days, perform Ghusl, wear good clean clothes, give presents to children, invite relatives, friends, etc.
* Form an assembly to talk about the birth, childhood, life and teachings of the Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam), and the origins of Islam.
SPECIAL PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
1. Pray 2 rakats nafil namaz. In each rakat after Surah Fateha, pray Surah Muzammil Sharif once. After the
namaz, offer its sawab to our beloved Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam). Then go into sijdah position and pray for fulfilment of your needs. Insha-Allah the wishes will be granted.
2. Pray 2 or 4 rakats (in 2 salams) nafil namaz. In each rakat after Surah Fateha recite Surah Ikhlas 25 times. After the namaz pray as in 1) above.
