Eid Milad un Nabi (sallallaho alaihi wasallam)
A Reverts interpretation for celebrating Eid Milad un Nabi - by Amina Baraka
'If there were no Muhammad(sallallaho alaihi was all am), nobody would 'Be', and the two worlds would not have existence. Hence, the existence of the world is dependent upon the existence of the
Holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi was all am) who is dependent upon the Existence of Allah ta'ala."
These words were spoken by Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi (1856-1921), who was considered to be one of the most celebrated Muslim Thinkers of his age and a lover of the Holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wa sallam).
Countless literature has also been published regarding the miraculous creation of the Holy Prophet
(sallallaho alai hi wa sallam) who was created from Allah ta' ala's Light and preceded the creation of the world and of our ancestral father, Hazrat Adam (alai his-salaam). Proof of this belief is cited from a Hadith, in which Allah ta' ala says,
"If thou hadst not been, I would not have created the Universe."
At the birth of our Holy Prophet (sallallaho alai hi wa sallam)... "insurpassed glory spread over the Earth."
In a recent television documentary on Channel 4 it is stated that there was a worldwide investigation about a climatic event which totally altered the course of history. The mystery clues, buried in the heart of the Dark Ages, records that in China there was heard a huge thunderous sound coming from Indonesia -a distance of three thousand miles. What was the cause of such a thunderous sound? Scientists have unearthed overwhelming evidence stating: one of the greatest fireworks natural cycle that is being going on for thousands of years, the volcanic eruption of Krakatoa, blew up in 6th Century A.D. All Sunnis Muslims alike know the reasons why the transformations took place on earth.
Six hundred years after Isa (Jesus son of Maryam) (alaihis-salaam) left this earth, our Holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) was born in 570 AD. Some of the wonders of the Holy Prophet's (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) birth have been recounted by a long chain of narrators in Fath al Bari. Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anh) for instance, quoted that the Holy Prophet's (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) mother Aamina (radi Allahu anha) related that just before she gave birth, she heard a loud bang which was getting louder all the time. The Palace of Kisra of the emperor of Persia shook and fourteen of its
balconies collapse; the flame of Persia, which had burned non-stop for a thousand years, was extinguished. The ancient legendary volcano Krakatoa, blew apart causing a thirty-mile high climatic eruption, its illumination light reaching homes everywhere. The whole of Nature and the beasts of the earth, sea and sky rejoiced and glorified in their own individual way -all at the birth of our Prophet (sallalllaho alaihi wasallam).
And yet, after all the wonders surrounding the Holy Prophet's (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) celebratory birth, there are today pressures of modernity on the religion of Islam. One of the main targets of derision is contrived by Islamic sects who oppose the celebration of Milad un Nabi (sallalllaho alai hi wa sallam). This month all good Sunni Muslims celebrate what is considered in the life of Islam itself and all Muslims to be one of the happiest occasions -the Birth of our Holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam).
One of the main reasons for celebrating the birth of our Holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) is that, let's face it none of us including the whole creation, would have been in existence today, if Allah ta'ala had not made the Holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) so Immaculately Perfect that he was able to act as a mirror through which Allah Ta' ala saw His Own Creation. It is all good Muslims supreme duty, therefore, to honour this most blessed age in memory of the distinguished credence which Allah ta'ala has bestowed upon the 'Prime Cause of Creation' and the 'Medium of Human Salvation' -our beloved Holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam).
